Join us for a session focused on SoTL opportunities for Team-Based Learning practitioners. Paul Hengesteg, CELT, will join us for the first 30 minutes of our meeting and share a wonderful proposal guide for the Miller Faculty Fellowship Award.
Scholarly teaching focuses on student learning and is grounded in the subject matter taught and in implementing effective pedagogies. The scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) involves framing and systematically investigating a research question related to student learning. The research methods often include qualitative and quantitative data collection and direct and indirect measures.
This final session in the Miller Faculty Fellowship Program series is designed to be open consultations with CELT staff to assist applicants in polishing the final draft of their proposal. Participants are encouraged to bring draft proposals for feedback.
Using an ISU-centered checklist, participants will determine areas of their teaching that they have already well documented and discover ideas for additional evidence of good teaching.
