There are several easy ways to offer extra credit:

  1. Create a no-submission assignment worth “0” total points. This creates a column in the gradebook into which you can enter points for students who have earned extra credit. If using assignment groups and weighted grades, the extra credit assignment can not be in its own assignment group. It must be included in another category worth more than 0 points.
  2. Add extra points to an existing assignment.
  3. Add extra points to a quiz using Fudge points within SpeedGrader™, view the How do I use quiz fudge points in SpeedGrader? web guide.
  4. Create an extra credit category on a rubric, view the How do I create a rubric in a course? (Links to an external site.) web guide.

For additional assistance, read through the How to give extra credit in a course? web guide.
