2025 Submissions Available November 1 – 30

At ISU, the spirit of appreciation and gratitude is alive and well, and the yearly #CyThx campaign is designed to shine a spotlight on those who make a difference in our lives. It’s a simple way to say thank you to the people who have made a positive impact on your day, your semester, or even your life.

Whether it’s your super-inspiring instructor who encouraged you, your coffee shop buddy who knows your order by heart, your new lab partner, or your colleague who offers inspiration, here’s vour chance to give them a virtual high-five. So, grab your virtual pen and help spread some #CyThx magic!

In 2024, we collected over 2,000 #CyThx submissions representing 171 units at Iowa State. In 2023, we received over 1,900 #CyThx submissions, a significant increase from our inception in 2021 of 300 submissions.

#CyThx encourages students, faculty, and staff to express their gratitude and acknowledge the acts of kindness, encouragement, and inspiration that often go unnoticed. It is a collaborative recognition project between the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), Graduate and Professional Student Senate, ISU Learning Communities, Multicultural Student Affairs, Student Engagement, Student Government, and Student Union Board.
