The Application of Mindfulness (November 4, 2022)

November 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Do you need a break? Would you like to explore campus and learn more about Iowa State University (ISU)? Interested in experiencing how you can include mindful practices within your learning environments to improve focus and reduce stress? This activity is designed for faculty, staff and students on campus as well as the wider Ames community.

Join the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) and University Museums as we follow a path on central campus with predetermined pauses. The 6 pauses on our walk will stop at ISU landmarks and works of art. Participants will learn the history behind the pauses and the works of art found on the route, and reflect on prompts shared from the fall guidebook Strolls for Well-Being at ISU. Participants will experience being in the present moment and guided on how to include these wellness practices in their own lives and learning spaces.

**Participants will meet in the main gallery of the Christian Petersen Museum, 603 Morrill Road.

If you are a person with a disability, please contact CELT at 515-294-5357 or email celt@iastate.edu to request reasonable accommodations to allow participation in this event.
