Cindy is the CELT Faculty Fellow for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). She is working with faculty and staff to advance their scholarly teaching into the scholarship of teaching and learning. SoTL ultimately improves student learning through scholarly inquiry into teaching and learning processes and includes sharing results so others can review, critique, and build on the work.
Cindy joined the Iowa State Faculty in 1999. She earned a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA and a master’s and PhD degrees in horticulture from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Cindy has received many teaching awards for her work with students while at ISU.
