Dan Grooms, College of Veterinary Medicine

Dean Grooms shows significant interest in each of us as individuals and makes the CVM a great place to work! He goes above and beyond to get to know people and make us feel valued and included. He also encourages well being, which is incredibly important for our students, staff, and faculty as veterinary medicine has a high rate of mental illness due to stressors and other factors. I have always felt supported at ISU and even more so since he took over as Dean. I cannot imagine all the balls he is constantly juggling to keep the college on track and all stakeholders effectively served, but he appears calm and confident in his daily interactions and that is effectively conveyed to others so we remain comfortable and optimistic regarding whatever lies ahead. Thank you Dan for all you do and for being a wonderful human being!!
