Use of WebCT Continues to Grow
Statistics compiled in October by the ISU WebCT support team indicate an increase of 675 active WebCT accounts on the server, bringing the total to 1687 active accounts for fall semester 2004. Active accounts are those currently being used by ISU faculty and staff in support of ISU courses or online projects. There are a total of 2063 courses on the server. The inactive course accounts are either under development or are not being taught this semester.
WebCT, or Web Course Tools, is a set of online learning, communication, and course management software tools used to support both on- and off-campus credit and non-credit activities. WebCT is jointly supported by the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching and the Office of Academic Information Technologies .
