Briefly Noted

The CTE is delighted to announce the addition of two new half-time CTE staff members.

Steven Freemen, Associate Professor of Industrial Education and Technology, and Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, has joined the CTE this semester as an Assistant Director. In this capacity, he will serve as a consultant and faculty liaison to the CTE. Freeman's involvement in curriculum development and classroom assessment will be a tremendous asset in this role.

Freeman is dedicated to the scholarship of teaching and learning, and is involved in planning SOTL-related programming for this semester. He also can provide resources that you can use to enhance student learning in the classroom and the laboratory.

Karen Crosby also has joined the CTE staff as an Information Specialist. In this role, Crosby will produce and distribute many CTE materials, including the Teaching at ISU newsletter and event flyers. In addition, Crosby will serve as CTE's new Internet webmaster. Crosby's experience in the field of communication means you will get the information you need to continue to enhance the learning of your students.

Welcome to Steven and Karen!
