Are You Interested in Wakonse?
For the past several years, Iowa State University has sent a team of Wakonse Fellows to the Wakonse Conference on College Teaching, which is held each May over Memorial Day weekend. CELT strives to send a rank- and gender-balanced team of Fellows who are dedicated to teaching and who come from an array of departments and colleges at the university.
Nominations are sought annually from the associate deans of ISU's colleges, from department chairs, and from the CELT Board and Wakonse alumni. Teaching award winners and others who are inspiring and energetic teachers are often nominated. A small group of graduate students also attends each year.
