For the past several years, Iowa State University has sent a team of Wakonse Fellows to the Wakonse Conference on College Teaching, which is held each May over Memorial Day weekend. CELT strives to send a rank- and gender-balanced team of faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates who are dedicated to teaching and who come from an array of departments and colleges at the university.

Nominations are sought annually from the associate deans of ISU's colleges, from department chairs, and from the CELT Board and Wakonse alumni. Faculty teaching award winners and others who are inspiring and energetic teachers are often nominated.

Faculty: To apply, please submit a Wakonse Faculty and Staff Application Form.

Graduate students: The Graduate and Professional Student Senate funds five fellowships for graduate students. To apply, please submit a Wakonse Graduate Student Application Form.

Undergraduate students: Please contact a learning community coordinator in your department. Undergraduates who have served or will serve as Peer Mentors are commonly nominated, so please let the coordinator know if you're interested.
