Annually, CELT offers funding through competitive grant programs to support innovative classroom practice in the range of learning environments including, face-to-face, blended, and online. Faculty often leverage projects funded from these programs to secure competitive externally funded grants such as Higher Education Challenge Grants (United States Department of Agriculture ), Transforming Undergraduate Education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (National Science Foundation), or programs administered by US Department of Education.

Diversity Course Development Initiative Program
With this Request for Proposals, the Senior Vice President and Provost’s office will support a broad program of course development grants for faculty in all disciplines to innovate and create truly exemplary courses that will expand the university’s U.S. Diversity course offerings, bringing topics of current American social and political relevance to the curriculum and positioning Iowa State’s approach as a national curricular model.
