About Class Climate
Class Climate is a web-based course evaluation tool available at Iowa State University. Class Climate helps to assess student learning and teacher effectiveness, of which the end-of-term course evaluation is only one. Student evaluation of teaching (SET) can be a measure of an instructor’s achievements in teaching, and is effective as one form of measurement among many. Class Climate was developed as an effective web-based tool for comprehensively implementing and processing surveys for quality assurance purposes. The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) and Information Technology Services (ITS) offers online course evaluation support for University departments through the web-based software Class Climate.
Class Climate Login
Use the username and password provided to you by the Class Climate Administrator to log into Class Climate.
Logging in to Class Climate:
- Go to: https://classclimate.its.iastate.edu/
- Enter the username and password provided to you by the Class Climate Administrator
- Click [OK]
First-Time Users:
When you first sign in, please change your password in Class Climate.
- Click on “My Profile” on the left hand side
- Enter your current password (provided by the Class Climate Administrator)
- Enter your new password in both blocks
Click OK
Getting an account:
Send an email to the course-evaluation@iastate.edu with the following information:
- Name
- ISU NetID
- Telephone Number
- Department
